GODDARD SYMPOSIUM TO FEATURE PROGRESS REPORTS
FROM NASA CENTERS FOR COMMERCIALIZATION OF SPACE
The American Astronautical Society's (AAS) 35th Goddard
Memorial Symposium, "Space Exploration: A Driving Force for
Economic Growth," will take place from March 3-5. The press may
attend all technical sessions at no charge. The March 3 program
will be held at the Greenbelt Marriott Hotel, 6400 Ivy Lane,
Greenbelt, MD, and will feature presentations from the 17 NASA
Commercial Space Centers (CSCs).
The March 3 program begins at 8 a.m. EST, preceded by
registration and refreshments at 7 a.m. EST. This marks the first
time that the NASA CSCs will give progress reports on their
efforts to commercialize the benefits derived from the space
program.
The March 4-5 portion of the Symposium will take place at the
Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, MD, in Building 8.
Attendees are encouraged to pre-register with the AAS to avoid
delays in on-site registration at Goddard. To pre-register for
the Symposium sessions, call Carolyn Brown at the AAS, 703/866-0020.
The three-day agenda for the Symposium can be obtained by
